Happy Halloween

We took the kids "trunk-or-treating" last night at Ally's school and the kids were so darn cute. Alyssa was a nice witch and Jada was a monkey. I wanted a warm costume for her, but all the warm ones seemed to be more "boyish" so I made some bows for the ears... And then everyone thought she was a dog!! Whateva... They were so adorable, even though Alyssa looked like an 18 year old woman!! She is hot! That's definitely a bad thing, but she is such a cutie! Dad, get the gun ready!! :0)
And another thing... everytime I look at this picture I am shocked that there are only two kids in it. We have six children in our home and only two are still of "trick-or-treating" age... That astounds me. This year Jacob was "too old" to trick-or treat, so it was just the girls. Pretty soon it will be just Jada... *Tear* The time goes so fast...
And how come they are too old to trick-or-treat but not too old to get Christmas presents?? I mean, Jeesh, save me some money too while you're "growing-up."

Punkin Carving

Ok so we went to Nanny and Pop-pop's house to carve punkins with the children. Wow, my kids did such a great job. I just had to post these adorable pics... The first one is a werewolf (profile) carved by Jordan. The second one is a ghost/ghoul carved by Jacob. The third one is a witch carved by Alyssa. AND the last picture is an honest to goodness tarantula crawling across our very own driveway!!! Yes! I'm for real! That HUGE spider was just making it's way across my yard! So nasty...
Also, the kids are posing with Aunt Kandi in one of the pictures and Jordan and Jada are fake-lip kissing in the other picture... They can't kiss for real; Jada said to me, "Jordan stinks. I can't believe he doesn't take a shower!" She is so funny...

Vaseline to Trampoline

So Jada has spent every single day on her new "trampoine." She finally graduated to calling it the right name. She loves the thing. I got an action shot of her on it!

Jada-isms 3

So my beautiful Jada is always trying to steal her daddy away from me. She is so in love with him that she doesn't think she can share him with me. She always tells me, "That is my daddy." And she says, "He loves me more mommy." Which is probably true, but I can't admit that to her... :0) But I finally got smart one day and told her, "Well he may be your daddy, but he is my husband." So she argued with me for a while, telling me that he was her husband and not mine, but now she has finally one-up'd me! Yesterday she told me, "Well mom, my daddy is my daddy-husband. He is your husband, but he is my daddy-husband!" I guess she wins!
So I'm off to feed my daughter some chicken "little" soup (as she calls it)!
(In one of these pictures she has used my MAC to put on her own make-up!!) :0(

Happy Birthday Nick!

Sunday was my nephew's 4th birthday so we headed to Big Bear to celebrate. He turned 4! Here are some shots of the kids playing and enjoying each other's company. My niece Breanna is in one of the pictures and my other niece Corinne is in another! Jacob and my nephew Kyle are pulling Nick and Jada in the wagon.

Boo-Boo Jada

Yesterday Jada ate the table! She was bending down to pick something up and her mouth was open and she just bit the heck out of the table. I scooped her up and took her into the bathroom so I could access the damage. I had her rinse her mouth out and spit it into the sink. Out of her mouth came metallic paint (from the table), blood, and a piece of her tooth! She cried until I put a band-aid on it (even though the only real damage was a chipped tooth). It was too cute not to snap a picture of... :0) (Mommies, you will appreciate the sacrifices we go through to make our children "feel" better)!!!

Last Night...

So last night I got home from work and I was not feeling well. I have been stressed out and I was just feeling out of it. My beautiful husband changed all that. I walked into my bedroom and he had two dozen roses in a vase by our jacuzzi tub and the tub was filled and ready for me. And, as if that wasn't enough, he also had a brand new robe on my bed for me to put on after my bath. It was so soft and so beautiful... While I was in the tub my hubby also brought me dinner. And it was yummy dinner, blackened fish! He is such a great husband. God is really doing good things in him and I am definitely benefiting from it! (And on a side note, I chose this picture of our wedding day to put up because it is my favorite picture of them all. In this picture we are not posed; we were not told how to stand, or where to look. We just grabbed each other and the camera guy took the shot. In this picture I am truly happy. My hair is blowing in my face, and I probably need a make-up touch up, but I am really happy in my heart)!

Winter...

It's definitely that time of year again. I enjoyed the summer; I love being able to go outside any time of the day and hang out with the kids, but winter has a beauty all its own. How could you not love a season that brings out warm, fuzzy clothes, fun in the snow, hot chocolate, and snuggling with my love?
We get the best weather where we live and winter always brings at least one snow-fall. This past weekend Jacob had another football game (they won 40-0 and he scored two touchdowns, one extra point, played quarter back, running back, and some defensive position :0) We froze through the entire game so afterwards we celebrated with KFC and hot chocolate (thanks Papa). Jacob and Jada are keeping warm in their winter hats!

Brittani's Graduation Party

Here are some ramdom pictures from Brit's graduation party. My sister and her daughter Breanna are in one of the pictures and my parents are in one of the pictures with Jada. Also, Jacob and Jada are enjoying the bounce house, while Brit is getting a bounce of her own by James... :0)

Jada-isms 2

So my baby-sitter (my new sister) wrote down a few more of Jada's adorable thoughts and I will share them with you...
Jada had not been to her baby sitters in quite a while and when she was gone Denise (the sitter) got a new girl. Her name is also Jada. So my Jada gets face to face with the new Jada and she says to her in an amazed tone, "You're Jada too? I'm Jada too!! And you're a brown Jada just like me!" (The little girl is mixed just like my Jada). :0)
Another time at the sitters, Jada was trying to convince her cousin to come outside with her and play. She begged Breanna to go but Breanna told her she was too tired to go outside because it was too hot. So Jada put her hand on her hip and said, "Oh ya, well I'm brown and I'm hot too!"
I do not know why she has a fixation with race when she is over there. That house is like the United Nations because there are so many races of kids there! Jada is just too much, ALL THE TIME!
And she said to her daddy yesterday, "Daddy, are you coming home to see my beautiful face?"
We just can't get enough of her and her funny thoughts. She even woke up the other day and told me that a monster was chasing me and the monster was singing "Row, row, row your boat..." She was so serious and so scared that I knew she had had a bad dream! She just makes my heart super happy (another one of her beautiful sayings)!
